World Open Powerlifting Championships, 8th to 13th November 2011, Pilsen, Czech Republic.

Czech Republic is playing host to the 2011 World Open Powerlifting Championships in Pilsen, Czech Republic from 8 – 13 November. Some 157 Men in the Open class and 93 Women in the Open class from thirty four different countries will be going for GOLD. There are 15 individual gold medals to be won in each weight group –eight for the men and seven for the women. We are expecting to see a number of World Records broken in all the lifts tumble during the six days of exciting lifting; we could see squats over 450kg, bench presses over 350kg and deadlifts up to 400kg!!!
