How To Compete In Your First USA Powerlifting Meet

Looking to compete in the sport of Powerlifting but don’t know how to start? Well, continue reading to learn more!⁣

1. All the currently sanctioned USA Powerlifting (USAPL) meets are on the national website. www.usapowerlifting.com.⁣

2. Click on the “Calendar” tab at the top to see the full list of current competitions.⁣

3. You have the option to filter by “State” and/or “Level”.⁣

4. If the meet isn’t listed on there, then they aren’t a USAPL meet or haven’t been sanctioned yet. USAPL meet directors aren’t allowed to advertise a meet until they have the official sanction.⁣

5. You can click on a specific competition to see additional info, and links to “More Info” and “Registration”.⁣

6. Once you found the registration form for the meet you want to compete in, then pull the trigger and sign up!⁣

7. Also, don’t forget that you need a current USAPL membership in order to compete in USAPL meets.⁣

8. Also, be aware that some meet directors may require that you have a USAPL membership in order to register for their meet.⁣

9. You’re now registered. 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤!⁣
