2021 USAPL Boynton Barbell Center Championship – Registration Open!

Registration is now open for the 2021 USA Powerlifting Boynton Barbell Center Championship (FL-2021-03)! Please read all the information below about the Championship if you’re interested in competing. If you have any questions, then you can email me at arian11@gmail.com

Date – January 9-10th, 2021

Location – Boynton Barbell Center, 2950 NW Commerce Park Drive Unit 8, Boynton Beach, FL 33426

Tentative Schedule –
Day 1 – Saturday, January 9th, 2021:
Session 1
7 AM – 8:30 AM – Weigh-in for all Women
9 AM – 1 PM – Lifting for all Women
1 PM – 1:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

Session 2
12 PM – 1:30 PM – Weigh-in for Men up to 74 kg
2 PM – 6 PM – Lifting for Men up to 74 kg
6 PM – 6:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

Day 2 – Sunday, January 10th, 2021:
Session 1
7 AM – 8:30 AM – Weigh-in for Men 83 kg & 93 kg
9 AM – 1 PM – Lifting for Men 83 kg & 93 kg
1 PM – 1:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

Session 2
12 PM – 1:30 PM – Weigh-in for Men 105 kg, 120 kg & 120+ kg
2 PM – 6 PM – Lifting for Men 105 kg, 120 kg & 120+ kg
6 PM – 6:30 PM – Awards Ceremony

Awards –
Open – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 in each weight class.
Youth 1 – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 in each weight class.
Youth 2 – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 in each weight class.
Youth 3 – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 in each weight class.
Teen/Junior – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 for all weight classes in the session according to IPF Formula.
Master’s – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 for all weight classes in the session according to IPF Formula.
Special Olympic – Medals will be given out for the Top 3 in each weight class.

Eligibility Requirements – This is an open championship. There are no qualifying totals and/or competitions required to enter this championship. All lifters competing in the championship must be a member of USA Powerlifting. Memberships to USA Powerlifting must be purchased online at www.usapowerlifting.com.

Equipment Requirements – Your equipment only needs to meet the specifications outlined in the USAPL Rulebook. The equipment doesn’t need to be on the IPF Approved List for local meets.

Minors – A minimum of 2 officials must be present in the weigh in room when weighing in lifters under the age of 18. Athletes who are minors (not yet the age of 18 years) must be notified in the presence of an adult (any person age 18 or older) and accompanied by a chaperone or representative throughout the entire sample collection session. If the minor cannot produce an adult chaperone or representative, the doping control officer shall have a 3rd party adult representative present during the process. The chaperone or representative shall not witness the passing of the urine unless requested by the minor athlete, rather shall observe the doping control officer who is observing the sample collection.

Records – State Records can be broken at this meet. They’ll be updated automatically after the results have been submitted. American & World Records can’t be broken at this meet.

Technical Rules – This competition is sanctioned by USA Powerlifting. The USA Powerlifting Technical Rules can be found HERE.

Admission – All spectators and coaches may enjoy the competition for an admission fee of $10.00 per day.
