The Northeastern Woman’s Powerlifting team has grown from 8 to 20 members in the past year. Last year the team finished in 3rd place at Collegiate Nationals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jaimes Brings Home Silver Medal for America

Pilsen, Czech Republic, May 24, 2012 – Luis Jaimes (Roslindale, Mass) placed second in the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Junior Bench Press Championships. Jaimes pressed 262.5Kgs/578.7Lbs in the Junior (age 19-23) 105Kgs/231.5Lbs division. Northeastern University Powerlifting Women’s Team at 2012 Collegiate Nationals

Two local schools recently competed at the 2012 Collegiate Nationals in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite the time difference and elaborate traveling, both schools saw success.
